Strange things can happen to you when your walking down the street in Moldova. For example, this man died near our one bridge in town in an auto accident. I didn’t get more than that from the brother but I sure hope it was not alcohol involved because he gave me a bag of fruits, bread and candy and then demanded that I finish his 2 liter of wine that he had with him. For some context, he and his friend had a trunk full of 2 liters of wine …. we toasted and he told me about his brother’s family and how beautiful his nephews and nieces are. I tried to leave several times to catch my bus, which only led to more drinking. Thus, if you are in a hurry, do not stop for the guy waving a shot glass at you and beckoning you to a gravestone on the side of the road…
